About the Role:
Currently, we are seeking a motivated Project Controls to join our growing team in order to support our Project Manager with our projects in Ontario. The key responsibilities of a Project Controls include, but are not limited to:
- Auditing, mentoring, and executing new job entries in system
- Audit & Review Invoicing and report to client on Key Performing Indicators & Schedule Performing Index
- Forecasting and equipment allocation for projects
- Completing FWI’s, contract changes, and procurement approvals
- Monitoring and reporting on monthly budget and production variances
- Completing job closeouts and final reporting
- Mentor, train, and develop, Project Coordinators
- Be involved in development, testing and implementation of new control process, strategies, and optimization of standards
- Report to the Project Manager and provide support to the Superintendents and Project Coordinators
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Mining Engineering Technology or B. Eng in Mining Engineering
- 3 years of project control experience, preferably in the mining industry
- Experience in a mining, industrial, construction environment or manufacturing is preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office, Excel and tools such as MS Project, etc.
- Strong mentorship, communication and leadership skills and ability to interact and engage with cross functional teams
- Demonstrates initiative with the ability to prioritize, stay organized and work independently in a demanding fast-paced environment
- Must be open to working at any of the underground mine sites, in Sudbury, that Technica operates at
