About the Role:
Currently, we are seeking motivated and qualified candidates to fill the following Development Miner positions in Timmins, ON:
- MacLean Bolters
The key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Performing pre-operational inspections and ensuring safe operation of mechanized bolter
- Inspecting existing underground headings and scaling loose rocks while working according to work procedures and company policies within a safety conscious environment
- Operate Maclean Bolter to install primary and secondary ground support in development headings
- Operate Maclean Bolter to recondition existing underground drifts and headings
- Participating in other facets of underground development, as required, which includes LHD operation, service advancement, load development faces and other underground activities
- Assisting with other support duties such as mechanical installations; maintenance of air, water and ventilation;
Qualifications
- Must have Basic Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core (U0000, U0001, U0002, U0003, U0004, U0005, U0006, U0010, & U0012) or equivalent provincial designation,
- Must have Underground Specialty module U0018 – Operate Mechanized Rock Bolter
- Following Specialty modules are considered an asset:
- U0068 A or B – Perform Trackless Haulage
- U0089 – Operate Mechanized Jumbo Drill
- U0091 – Operate Haul Truck
- Previous experience using a jackleg and stoper considered an asset,
- Must have a minimum of 5 years underground development experience
