About the Position:
Are you an experienced Development Miner with Jumbo, scoop, and boom bolter experience? Technica Mining is growing, and we’re looking for dedicated professionals to join our team in long-term, local development projects in Sudbury, Ontario. We have multiple positions available and are actively hiring to support the continued success of our operations.

  • The key responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Preparing faces, drilling, loading, and blasting drift/ramp rounds.
  • Operating LHD (scoop), mechanized bolters, and Jumbo drills.
  • Advancing services such as air, water, and ventilation systems.
  • Performing pre-operational inspections of equipment.
  • Scaling loose rock and maintaining ground support.
  • Inspecting work areas for compliance with safety regulations.


    Qualifications

    We’re looking for skilled and safety-conscious miners with the following qualifications:

    Required:

    • Basic Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core (U0000, U0001, U0002, U0003, U0004, U0005, U0006, U0010, & U0012) or equivalent provincial designation.
    • U0089 – Operate Mechanized Jumbo Drill
    • U0018 – Operate Mechanized Rock Bolter.

    Preferred:

    • U0068 A or B – Perform Trackless Haulage.
    • U0091 – Operate Haul Truck.
    • Experience with Epiroc Jumbos, MacLean Bolters, and Cat Scoops.
    • Proficiency with jackleg and stoper is an asset.
    • Minimum 5 years of underground development experience.
    • Commitment to safety and efficiency in the workplace.
    • Willingness to work at any Technica Mining underground sites.

    Location: Onaping, Ontario (Onaping Depth Project)

    Rotation: 5-5-4

    Shift Length: 11.5 hours
